This just reminded my none of my primrose ever came up last year! I believe I scattered like a thousand seeds!! As always, love reading anything you write. I would adore a high tunnel! Love and hugs.
Are you sure you didn’t accidentally mow them? Maybe they’ll make an appearance this year. I think they’re biennials & probably don’t bloom until the following year but then they’ll just keep coming back & spreading year after year!
What a delightful offering! Thank you for sharing.
Lambing season and garden season have arrived simultaneously this year. I am capturing most pictures with my focused mind, rather than my phone. Less social media, more real-life presence. Barn checks in the wee hours of the night reveal the shivery beauty of stars and the sweet, damp fragrance of sleeping earth. Life is good.
Thank you, Beth. Lambing season, a dream for my future. Watching the miracle of new life on the farm is so rewarding...sometimes heartbreaking....but mostly rewarding. Agreed, life is good when we slow down and pay attention to all the little details that make it so. Thanks for reading.
Thank you, Jeanne for picking up on my "wild" thread weaving through this essay. Honestly, when I think about it, I think it weaves through my entire life. Thanks for being here.
I love this, Becki! All of the things that are working for you AND the lovely tribute to your Granny. She sounds so much like my Granny. She was supportive, busy, a great cook, and tender of the home. She loved to play a mean hand of bridge (for money, of course!). Her great-grands, however, only add up to three at this point. Your stories are amazing.

So many goodies in this post, Becki! Your semi-wild garden and your semi-wild Granny both sound wonderful.
