I have so, so many glimmers of all of them. Finding that common "golden" thread to bring them all together is the struggle, but I'm scribbling away at it.

I spent a lot of time with my maternal grandma. She cooked, she baked, she made butter, she grew African Violets, she cared for me. And, I could go on and on. Today I carry her with me.

What a sweet tribute, Becki! My granny taught me so much, too! A love of sewing, baking, taking care of tools, having fun, telling stories, and laughing. You were so lucky to have her, remember, and to carry on in the same farm for future generations.
