The Sounds that Lead to Anxiety

A storm is coming...

I hear the weather man on the radio discussing this latest hurricane, Idalia. I’m trying really hard to put it out of my mind and just focus on things that need to be done at work. It’s the end of the month and I give myself a certain number of inspections that need to be done to stay on track for what is required for the year. I have a few more inspections I need to get accomplished and this storm isn’t going to stop me.

I get my inspections done, they were relatively easy ones and then head back to the office. On the radio, I hear more chatter about the impending storm. Currently, it looks like it will be a Category 3 when it makes landfall several hundred miles to the south of us. We’re located in mid-south Georgia, it’s rare that it would affect us too severely so far inland. I say a little prayer for the folks in the direct path of the storm.
