Winter is time when peace grows in our hearts, while we suffer gloom. And cold. And yearn, always-yearning for a different season. Spring will unleash our heart's peace, that we crave so dearly, from winter's cold restrain.
I enjoyed reading Looking back to Keep Moving Forward. I feel loss too. The heart makes room for it, and for good reason –– To remember....
This is so good Becki. Love to you <3 ... Right after I read your piece I saw that I had a post from Grimrose Manor in my inbox, also about grief, generational grief. Recommend it too!
Becki, thank you for telling your truth and trusting us as you bare your soul. I know that feeling of giving up. I had a meltdown in a grocery store myself recently. Your doodles would make a fantastic fabric design. My step-daughter and a couple of friends design fabrics. Take care of that tender heart of yours. I’m thinking of you.
Personally I find the grocery store to be particularly triggering for some mysterious reason as well. The doodle is beautiful! And the snake symbolism, very interesting, what's your interpretation now that some more time has passed?
Oh Becki, give yourself permission for the fallow times. I've learned, for me, that's when healing is taking place deep in the soil of our hearts. As we are at the cross-days between winter solstice and the vernal equinox, give yourself grace to burrow in that soil, and know that, when it's time, it's time - to reach for the light. Blessings, Deb

WOW, Mark, that was quite lovely! Patiently waiting for Spring to unleash my heart’s peace. Thank you for reading and remembering with me.
❤️❤️❤️ I hope this weekend brings you peace and rest. You know what they say about winter.
Thank you Mule. Your words and captures bring me peace. January Jaw was a delight!

Thank you Brandy. Going to look for that piece now.
I'm just reading...getting caught up. This is a beautiful post.

Such a lovely wistfulness in all of this, Becki. Thank you for opening your heart here. It does us all good.
